Australian Paperbark – Melaleuca quinquinervia - provides a traditional Aboriginal cooking method, commonly used by coastal peoples.

This Melaleuca is a long living tree, particularly favouring the marshy flats of NSW. The harvesting of this product from the trees does not harm them and is a sustainable and renewable product.

Use this product in much the same way as aluminium foil, as a wrap around seafood or meat. Always wrap the seasoned and oiled fish with Warrigal Greens or Saltbush prior to the outer wrapping of Paperbark. Tie each Paperbark bundle with string and then bake.
